Forgot About Something

Thursday, June 26th, 2003

Something definitely note-worthy: I had a very interesting conversation with the cousin I suspected of being gay. It turns out that he’s not, but while we were on the subject I come out to him. It was very, umm, interesting, and liberating; one less family member I have to act straight in front of.

Website

Thursday, June 26th, 2003

I’m finally building a website of my own, after nearly a year of absence from being a webmaster. I’ll still keep my Livejournal, but I’ll use my new website to post more in-depth articles, such as my columns that the local paper loves to reject. It’s not complete yet, but I’ll keep you posted (like anyone reads this).

Installing The Sims

Tuesday, June 24th, 2003

One more for today:

I installed The Sims for my sister last night. Not only does she have the game, but she needed 5 of the expansion packs installed. Now, I don’t know what stoner over at Maxis wrote the installation routines for this game, but it took 4 HOURS to install the whole thing! FOUR HOURS!!! Microsoft Office took less time to install! They should release a CD set with all of the expansion packs built in, like they did with Roller Coaster Tycoon. Anyway, I’m getting off of here now. Au revoir!

New Stuff

Tuesday, June 24th, 2003

Aside from being a bit frazzled from the web form thing, I got a new stuff today! I got the movie “The Truth About Jane” on DVD, and two Microsoft Certified Professional shirts. I love new stuff :-D

Web Design Problem

Tuesday, June 24th, 2003

I hate web forms. A non-profit organization I volunteer for has asked me to make an online volunteer application for them, and I don’t know jack about anything except straight HTML. So, my cry for help goes out to the world: If anyone reading this can write me a CGI script that will email an all-text form, I would GREATLY appreciate it. The HTML of the form can be found at http://fusiontechva.netfirms.com/vol-app.htm, and if someone can help me out, I’ll love you forever :-P

Diploma Snafu

Monday, June 16th, 2003

It turns out that my diploma has the city I live in spelled wrong, in addition to not have the governer’s seal it’s supposed to. So, I have to take that to the school tomorrow. I also have to go to the bank to deposit my many graduation checks, and pick up a graduation gift for my best friend, which I’ve been forgetting and putting off for days. At least I don’t have school, though. Goodnight to all.

PS - I just had a wonderfully liberating conversation with a very close friend, I feel happy :)

Gay Cousin

Saturday, June 14th, 2003

On a completely unrelated note, I found out today that one of my cousins is bisexual, which ends a lot of wondering for me. Maybe the gay gene runs in my family? She has a gay uncle, I have a different gay uncle, she’s bi, I’m gay, her sister is probably bi or gay, and a different cousin of mine is probably gay (I overheard him making comments about Matthew McConaughey being hot). This has been a very gay day, it’s now time for bed.

High School Graduation

Saturday, June 14th, 2003

Well, I graduated today. The ceremony was long and boring, as can usually be expected. It was farily uneventful, to tell the truth. It doesn’t even feel like school has ended.

New Live Journal

Thursday, June 12th, 2003

There, I’m done playing with the formatting :). Tomorrow is my graduation ceremony, I can’t wait! Free at last, free at last. I also bought a Samurai sword recently, it’s super-sharp and can cut things like bone in a single swipe. Hmm, what else can I say? Oh yeah, Paul Walker is HOT!
