Summer Update
Tuesday, September 30th, 2003Well, I finally got around to posting something here (as if anyone actually reads this). It’s been a fairly boring summer, but here are the highlights (not in order):
-I got to go to NYC and visit some ultra-conservative “friends” who got me an inside tour of the World Trade Center site.
-My long-term writer’s block came back in early August, as it usually does when I try to write too much. I’ll pick up my regular writing eventually, but I’m taking a break for now.
-I found an article exposing the life of anti-gay pastor Fred Phelps, which I will be posting on my website as soon as I finish reformatting it and correcting typos.
-I added a cool-air intake to my car, which makes my 4-cylinder engine sound like a V8
-I started really getting into the street-racing scene here, but it drives me nuts when kids watch Fast and the Furious and think they can race. I was into custom imports BEFORE FnF came out, back when it wasn’t popular. Anyway, enough bitching about that.
-I’ve decided to learn how to make Flash movies, with the help of “Flash MX For Dummies”
-I went to a huge LAN party in Weyers Cave, which was quite tiring, but well worth the trip.
-I finally turned 18, but I have yet to go to any porn shops
-JMU’s Harmony club started back up, so I’ve been going there every week.
-I got a Service Rep permit from JMU somehow (for those of you who don’t know, a Service Rep permit is a magical plastic hangtag that allows me to park literally anywhere I want)
-I met a wonderful guy at JMU, and I really like him. He’s a junior named Patrick, about my height, very cute, really into Japanese culture and eighties music (perfect match), and he has a wonderful personality. We’ve only been on two dates, but I just can’t stop thinking about him
:-D
I’ll try to keep this more up to date, I seem to be getting behind in everything. I have three websites I’m maintaining, all of which need major updates, I need to find a “real” job, and I’m getting behind in my Flash studies. Oh well, at least I don’t have school to worry about.
