In response to my last post in this filter, I’ve decided to use the name Natasha Softpaw for my female fursona. It’s slavic enough to fit my character, but not enough to conjure up images of James Bond villians (Rocky & Bullwinkle aside). Thanks for the responses!

Also, if we’d had a female behind our table at this hamfest, we may have sold better, since most of the attendees were male, and unlike a furry con, 98% of them were presumably straight. Just a silly observation

This weekend, I went to a HAM radio and computer expo in Maryland with LilPup, Goliath, and Stormwolf. We had a dealer table there to sell EV strobe lights, along with other assorted items. This is for a business we’re starting (except Storm, who was just along for the ride), and while it was a good warm-up for the real shows (police, medic, and volunteer police shows), sales kinda sucked (worse than predicted).

Hooray for furry cons! And Florida!

Fox and I finally got home from Megaplex yesterday. The driving was tiring to say the least. Going down, we drove through the night and switched halfway. Coming back, we drove with LilPup and stayed in a hotel Monday night, and resumed driving in the morning. Heading down, we also stopped in Jacksonville to mail Ebay items.

While I was at Megaplex, I spent the weekend toying with the idea of getting a badge drawn of my female character. I finally decided to, so here’s the first art of my female fursona, drawn by Genesis Eve Whitmore:

Now, she needs a name. Any suggestions? I’d prefer something Slavic or possibly Native American, and I’m keeping the Softpaw last name, so it has to go with that

Looks like I won’t be attending Spring Fling like I’d planned.

[sighs] I now have a cellphone. I didn’t want it, I spent eight months making it very clear to everyone that I wasn’t going to get one, but in the end, corporate ass-raping got the better of Fox and mom, and mom bought me a phone.

However, do not expect me to be available via phone 24/7 now. This phone exists solely because my family thinks it has to, and I have no intention of using it more than is absolutely necessary. Therefore:

No, you may not have the number.
No, you may not call me, unless it’s absolutely necessary, and only after you’ve called my landline.
No, you may not send me a text message, first person to text me gets a slap in the face.
No, you can’t send me pictures or any of that other crap. I chose the most featureless phone I could find for a reason.
No, I won’t cease my endless cellphone-bashing, I think they’re the epitome of everything that’s wrong with American society.

Nothing brightens the mind and weakens the body like amazing sex.

Well, Madicon came and went, another badge to add to the collection. Looking at the whole con, I’d say it was average; not spectacular but not a total flop. However, from the LAN room, where Fox and I attempted to run computer gaming, it totally sucked.
