Comment Moderation and Approval
To reduce spam, all comments from new commenters are moderated. However, I approve pretty much everything that’s not blatant spam or trolling, so please consider your comments welcome. Once you have one approved comment (like I said, easy to do), all future comments from you will be posted immediately without being moderated.

Comment Avatars
This site, like many others out there, uses a system called Gravatars, or Globally Recognized Avatars. This service is provided through Gravatar.com, and is open to anyone.

Basically, to use these, you need to create an account on their site. Once you’ve done that, you can upload as many avatars as you like, and associate them with email addresses, one avatar per email address. Any blog, journal, or forum you post to that uses the Gravatar system will look up your email address in the system (behind the scenes, of course), and display the avatar corresponding to the email address you entered. Quite nifty, really

LJ Commenters
If you’re an LJ user who’s ever commented here before, and you have a paid LJ account, you can add an avatar to all your old comments by using your livejournal.com email address for the Gravatar system.

Also, if you’d like to change the information in my database associated with the comments you’ve left in my LJ (username, URL, email address), it’s a trivial process, so just let me know
