*snickers*
My sister received this school dance invitation the other day, and I didn’t pay much attention to it at first. However, I read through it more carefully today, and it’s quite sad:
ROLL CALL
All 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders
Come out and join THE HEAT
drop it like its hot
At The
BombDizzle
End of School Dance Extravagansizzle
of the Year forschizzle!
Park it like it’s hot at: Thomas Harrison Middle School

Society makes me sad.

Why sad? I think it’s rather clever, if not a bit outdated. If you’re sad because it’s a Snoop Dogg reference for junior high kids, I think he’s become relatively harmless in the rap industry and cleaned up his act. Or maybe the organizers recognized the inevitability of pop culture and incorporated it into an event to attract people. *shrug*

That’s so lame, it’s funny and sad at the same time. Makes me wish I had a lame high school dance to go to for the end of the year, but I don’t, so I’ll laugh at this.

Just once I would love to DJ a school dance. Play stuff that they don’t hear every damn day on the radio. But, they’re just kids. They’ll (hopefully) learn about good music and grow out of it. I know I did!

I have yet to understand why people think crap like that is cool. Maybe I’m a total cynic but I think there’s an inverse relationship between how much people are going to like something and how good it actually is.
Well… at least that first line wasn’t “BOOTY CALL” X^D

They spelled “fo’ shizzle” incorrectly.
May 25th, 2005 at 20:35:54
What? You don’t want to drop it like it’s hot?
hahaha!!

I have a feeling that in 10 years, I’ll be looking at everything and wondering what language it is written in.

Sad state of affairs indeed.

Oh.
dear.
::runs away::

Wow, thats embarrasingly bad…
I’m just gonna break out in laughter over this. In 5 years, or less, they’ll realize the stupidity of that. Until then, we’re aloud to make a mockery of it! hahaha!

This is why I’m active in the PTA

I’d be floored if that came out here, and I’m in a much more urban locale. I’d ask your folks if they saw this at the last PTA meeting… and if they don’t go…. ask them why
BTW, it’s all the more funny to me knowing the area that you live in. I just don’t see it

Bwahahahaha XD

It’s harmless.
And really, rap isn’t that horrible — I wouldn’t call any rap in recent years groundbreaking, original, or overly talented by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s fun. It’s like a dumb comedy — not a good movie, but entertaining. That’s all it is.
