XM Radio Rates
Well, I knew it was bound to happen eventually: The monthly rate for XM Radio has gone up to $12.95/month (formerly $9.95/month), thanks to a shiny new contract with Major League Baseball, ACC football/basketball, PAC-10 football/basketball, and Big Ten football/basketball. Yes, that’s right, the same bullshit that makes cable rates go up has now invaded satellite RADIO, and I have to pay extra for channels that not only will I never listen to, but that I have little interest in, and even some disdain for. GRRRR!

I think they need to have custom plans where you pick the stations YOU want and pay only for them

I know the price hike sucks, and I really hope that it doesn’t completely really have the “CATV effect”. However, according to industry news sources, along with the price hike XM will give every subscriber XM radio online and Opie & Anthony for no extra charge. So it’s not like you don’t gain anything out of the price hike.

That would make too much sense

But Opie & Anthony suck ass…

It sure was a big deal when first came on to XM. Now I really don’t hear anything about them anymore. I wonder why…
